Special Education Advocates & Advocacy
The advocates we work with have significant special education training and experience teaching children with special needs, as well as parenting children with special needs. This education and experience helps you to interpret your child’s educational record, understand his or her needs, and advocate for school supports that will ensure school success. An advocate can work with you to advocate for appropriate educational supports for your child, either with or without an attorney involved. Advocates are available to review your child’s educational file, consult with you about educational strategies appropriate for your child's needs, and accompany you to IEP or other school meetings.
